What's happening?
We're working with the Ixil, Quiche, Kekchi village tribes in a nearly inaccessible mountain region devastated by civil war. We've established primary and secondary schools and an extension university campus as well as a regional agricultural center and planted churches.

Village students have become university educated doctors and teachers, and the vast majority are returning to give their first years of service back to their own people. Because of their commitment to contribute back to their community, the schools have now become self-sustaining, with no reliance on Western funds.

How did we get here?
Our team went to Guatemala to work among a people who had lost everything, including many lives, to tribal war with the Guatemalan government. Using solar panels left over from Y2K, we began planting schools and churches in the villages. As a result of our efforts, the region has rebounded economically and the once destitute people have become leaders on earth as well as in Christ's kingdom.

Want to join us?
Many individuals have gone and spent a few months or a year working alongside our long-term field missionaries. If you have a heart for Central America and don't mind village life, let's talk about the many opportunities to serve and further the church planting, education programs, and economic development work taking place in the highlands of Guatemala.
